Colleen B. Jonsson, Center for Predictive Medicine, USA

Dr. Jonsson is a Professor of Microbiology and is the Director for the Dr. Jonsson Center for Predictive Medicine for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville. She has over 20 years of experience in the study of highly pathogenic human viruses represented in more than 85 publications and 5 patents.  Her research program focuses on basic and translational research targeting respiratory and hemorrhagic fever viruses. The basic research has provided a platform for development of assays for discovery of small molecules by high-throughput screening (HTS) and small animal models for testing efficacy for BSL2/3 viral pathogens.
