Jan Balzarini, Rega Institute, Belgium

Jan Balzarini is Professor of Virology and Chemotherapy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (KU Leuven) and Head of the Laboratory of Virology and Chemotherapy of the Rega Institute for Medical Research. His research is focused on drug discovery for antiviral and anticancer chemotherapy and mechanisms of antiviral/cancer drug action with special emphasis on drug resistance development.
